This was something completely different and a lot of fun!
When Steve at Balthazar came up with the idea to turn the ladies toilet into a miniature nightclub, Avolution were the obvious choice to make it happen. The concept was simple but the execution did take some working out..
In 'normal mode' the toilet is conventionally lit and gentle background music plays - much like any other restaurant toilet. However, once the #BOOGIEBUTTON is pressed, the lighting dims to off, the music fades out, and then the toilet goes into 'Disco mode' with full disco lighting and one of forty classic disco tracks pumping out of the sound system.
The #BOOGIEBUTTON has proven to be very popular with the clientele, getting hundreds of presses per night over the weekends and with huge social media exposure has been a valuable promotional tool for Balthazar.
Avolution handled the entire install from start to finish, including:
Lutron Lighting control system install
Commercial spec sound system
RTI automation & programming
Audio track editing & volume level matching
